Let's learn the main categories of food!
1. Fruits & Vegetables
These grow from plants. They are very healthy!
Fruits: apple, banana, orange, strawberry, grape
Vegetables: carrot, broccoli, potato, tomato, spinach
2. Grains & Carbohydrates
These give you energy. They are often eaten with meals.
Examples: bread, rice, pasta, cereal, oats
3. Protein
These help build your body and make you strong.
Meats: chicken, beef, pork
Other: fish, eggs, beans, nuts, tofu
4. Dairy
These are foods made from milk. They are good for your bones.
Examples: milk, cheese, yogurt, butter
5. Fast Food
Food served quickly at a restaurant. Often tasty but not always healthy!
Examples: hamburger, pizza, french fries, hot dog

Breakfast (Morning)
Common breakfast foods include:
- Cereal or oats with milk
- Eggs and toast
- Fruit (like a banana)
- Yogurt
Lunch (Midday)
Common lunch foods include:
- A sandwich (with meat, cheese, and vegetables)
- Soup and bread
- A salad
Dinner (Evening)
Common dinner foods include:
- Chicken with rice and vegetables
- Pasta with tomato sauce
- Fish with potatoes
